10 Minute Window Observation
Spend
10 minutes at home looking out a window.
Write down everything you see and hear.
What might it smell like out there?
Feel like? Is there anything you
can imagine tasting?
Type up a 10-15
line poem of your observation. (This
must be titled). Be creative. Try to use as many of the poetry techniques
that we’ve reviewed this session as you can – imagery, alliteration, assonance,
symbols, allusions, rhyme and rhythm (iambic pentameter!), etc.
AND!
One more catch – you muse use at least 4 vocabulary words from this year
in your poem!
